Our Vision

END FISTULA for every woman everywhere

The 4 key results that indicate the realization of this bold vision are

Backlog Eliminated

Every woman who has fistula has the opportunity for quality and complete care.

Community informed

People understand that fistula is a treatable injury, and not a curse.

Referrals activated

Any new case of fistula is treated within 6 months in order to minimize suffering.

new cases prevented

Use data and technology to help government and partners address causes of fistula.

Our purpose

we believe it is grossly unjust that people suffer terribly when a proven and affordable solution is available

Obstetric fistula is the manifestation of entrenched societal and institutional
inequity. Its persistence is a direct result of systems failing to serve women
and girls. We exist to end obstetric fistula.

We do this by building models of care that serve every woman, everywhere.
We relentlessly challenge the systems of gender inequity that perpetuate
fistula, and engage collaboratively with partner agencies to maximize and
scale our impact.

Using new technologies, and cutting-edge data collection tools, we will
provide an unprecedented degree of transparency to the social impact sector, and transform global maternal health.

core values

The core values define how we conduct ourselves as an organization. They are our essential and enduring tenets – our guiding principles. These are the principles that are so important to us that we would rather shut down the organization than violate them.

Patients are everything

Each and every action we take must serve them

We Exist to Not Exist

Achieving the vision includes putting ourselves out of business

Proximity Has Ultimate Power

The best solutions start and end with the people closest to the problem

We Welcome scrutiny

Continuous improvement starts with honest and direct feedback

Measure Everything That Matters

We can only improve what we measure
